Your TasksAs a Software Lead Engineer (m/f/d), you will take technical ownership of our software development – from architecture and design to implementation and process definition.You lead and mentor a team of software engineers, ensure adherence to coding standards, and help shape the next generation of our communication and control systems.Your responsibilities include:Technical leadership and mentoring of the software engineering teamDefining and maintaining software architecture, design principles, and development standardsEstablishing and improving coding guidelines and software processesPlanning and prioritizing development tasks in collaboration with the R&D Manager and Systems EngineerDesigning and developing embedded software for communication and networking systems (e.g. acoustic modems, data fusion, control software)Performing code reviews and ensuring software quality and maintainabilityClose collaboration with electronics, systems, and test engineering teamsSupporting test automation and continuous integration processesContributing to technology roadmaps and long-term software strategy Your ProfileDegree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similarSeveral years of experience in software development for embedded or communication systemsStrong background in software architecture, design patterns, and modern development methodologiesProficiency in C/C++ (and ideally Matlab, Linux)Knowledge of communication protocols, networking, or digital signal processingExperience with software standards and guidelines (e.g. MISRA, ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or similar)Experience in leading or mentoring technical teamsFamiliarity with Git-based workflows and agile development environmentsIdeally, experience in underwater communication or marine technologiesFluent in English (German is a plus)Proactive mindset and passion for building reliable, elegant software systems We Offer Training and Continuing Education Retirement Pension Plan Flexible Working Hours Home Office Commuter Ticket Employee Events Parking Lot Interested?What it means to work with us:Opportunities to work with innovative products and cutting-edge technology in a dynamic industry.Flexibility and autonomy to manage your workload and make a significant impact on the company's growth.A permanent contract with stability and opportunities for advancement.Bike leasing options to make your commute more sustainable.An office with a “sea view” right by the Bille River, and regular BBQs on our fantastic balcony.A weekly fruit basket to keep you energized and healthy.
