Do you have knowledge of general labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials? Are you strong enough to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms) while moving heavy items from one location to another.QUALIFICATIONS:Be able to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishPresent a neat appearance commensurate with that required of a professionalMinimum Education/Experience of High School diploma or its equivalent with (2-3) years of experience in the field or related area. An equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is acceptableMust be able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms) while moving heavy items from one location to anotherPreferably possess a Forklift licenseJOB DESCRIPTIONPerform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materialsUnpacking palletized material and placing like items onto separate pallets or into bins to be transported to storage or shipping locationsReceive a variety of military standard and/or commercial type medical, dental, optical, and veterinary items/materiel together with supporting documentation from Prime Vendors, Depots, registered mail, and local vendorsCheck incoming shipments for completeness, correctness, and proper conditionCount and segregate material by expiration date and lot numberOperate motorized material handling equipment (MHE), powered by battery such as a stock selector or forklift trucks in order to lift loads weighing under 10,000 pounds as high as 15 feetOperate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, motorized pallet jacks, and pushcartsInitiate Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDR) for overages, shortages, incorrect stock numbers, short-dated or expired material, and visual damage caused by transportationWork with physical exertions such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stretching, and reachingPack supplies and equipment, including items of a fragile and sensitive nature, in boxes, crates, cartons, or other containers for shipping or storageLabeling palletized material with shipping informationOccasionally work swing shiftsDOCPER/SOFA/Logistical Support StatusThis position is not eligible for support under the NATO Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) supplemental agreement articles 72 or 73.
