Are you a commercially driven professional with experience from offshore construction, marine works, maritime, or civil construction projects? Do you thrive on developing business opportunities, building client relationships, and overseeing project execution in a dynamic technical environment?
On behalf of DBB Dredging, MARPRO Group is seeking an Area Manager to support the company's continued growth in the German market. This is a highly independent position combining business development, relationship management, and project oversight within dredging, marine construction, port development, and related infrastructure activities.
The job
As Area Manager Germany, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while supporting the successful execution of ongoing projects. Acting as DBB Dredging's local representative, you will establish and strengthen relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, ports, offshore developers, and other key stakeholders.
The role combines commercial responsibility with operational involvement. You will drive market development activities, support tender processes and contract discussions, monitor local project progress, and ensure strong communication between clients and the project teams.
The position is focused on Germany, Poland and the Baltic countries, with a preference for candidates based in Northern Germany. Various engagement models can be considered, including permanent employment, consultancy agreements, or other mutually agreed arrangements.
Professional qualifications
Experience in business development, sales, project management, or operational management.
Background from offshore construction, marine construction, dredging, civil construction, ports, offshore wind, maritime services, or related industries.
Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and develop long-term client relationships.
Experience working with project-based businesses and technical solutions.
Ability to engage with clients, contractors, consultants, authorities, and other stakeholders.
Understanding of tendering, contract negotiations, and project execution processes.
Experience from the German market is highly advantageous.
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
Strong communication, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
Able to work independently while coordinating with international teams.
