This challenge awaits you:As a Senior Sales Manager in the Defense business unit, you will take on a key role in strategically expanding our defense activities. Depending on your background – whether from industry or a governmental/military environment – you will develop tailored sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, and build strong relationships with decision-makers in the defense industry or within the Bundeswehr and public authorities. With your network and understanding of the respective structures, you will position IAV as an innovative and reliable technology partner in the defense sector.Your Tasks:You take responsibility for sales in the Defense area with a focus on industry or Bundeswehr & public authoritiesYou develop and implement sales strategies to tap into new business opportunitiesYou identify and acquire projects with system integrators, industrial companies, or Bundeswehr stakeholders and public authoritiesYou build and maintain customer relationships – especially with key individuals in industry or the public sectorYou conduct market analyses and monitor competitors to identify trends and innovation potentialYou present IAV’s technical capabilities to customers and partnersYou prepare proposals and conduct contract negotiations with industrial or public clients Necessary Skills:Successfully completed university degree, ideally with a technical, economic, or military focusSeveral years of experience in the defense industry or in a governmental/military environment (e.g., as an officer or in a comparable role)In-depth knowledge of structures, processes, and decision-making pathways in industry or within the Bundeswehr and public authorities (e.g., BAAINBw)Technical understanding of military technologies and their application or integration conceptsExperience handling confidential information and understanding of security clearance requirementsStrong communication and negotiation skills in industrial or governmental settingsExcellent German language skills (at least C1 level) and good English skills (at least B2 level) Desired Skills:Presentation skillsConflict resolution skillsStructured working approachModern mobility is a key challenge of our times.
