Application Engineer/ Technical Manager – Home and Fabric Care

As an Application Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for developing lead formulations that demonstrate the performance and benefits of the company's ingredients in household cleaning applications.  You will design and optimize formulations, conduct performance testing and generate data-protected evidence to demonstrate the benefits of the ingredients in the intended applications. You will be responsible for the successful launch of Consumer Care Solutions products. Working closely with R&D, sales and customers, you will ensure that the company's ingredients deliver measurable benefits in terms of cleaning performance, sustainability and regulatory compliance.  Do you want to be a pioneer and build a new business with us? Want to make a difference? Then you've come to the right place.Your responsibility and impact within AMSilk company means to:Design and optimize cleaning product formulations using the company's ingredients to ensure high performance, stability and cost effectivenessProvide technical guidance to customers, helping them integrate the company's ingredients into their formulations and troubleshooting any application challengesProduct Testing & Performance Evaluation: Conduct laboratory tests to assess cleaning efficacy, consumer benefits and compatibility with other formulation componentsCollaborate with R&D & Sales and work closely with internal teams to develop new ingredient solutions, support sales with technical presentations and provide hands-on training to customersRepresent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events to showcase technical expertiseStay updated on market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to help position the company’s ingredients competitivelyEnsure compliance with industry regulations (e.g. REACH, EPA, EU Ecolabel) and assist customers in meeting sustainability and regulatory requirementsYour areas of knowledge and expertise are:Master’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Formulation Science, or a related field7+ years in formulation development, application testing, or technical support within the household cleaning, surfactants, or specialty chemicals industryRelevant work experience in large companies and international environments throughout Europe, as well as working experience in different cultural environmentsKnowledge of surfactants, enzymes, solvents, and other key ingredients used in home care formulationsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills in formulation challenges and ingredient compatibilityAbility to explain technical concepts clearly to customers, R&D, and sales teamsWillingness to travel to customer sites, conferences, and trade shows as neededWe would love to have you in our team if you:Enjoy teamwork and collaboration Have a good sense of humorAre bold, creative and think outside the boxLive a solutions-driven approach and have a pragmatic working styleAre willing to learn something new every dayWhat you can expect from us:At AMSilk we believe in providing a well-rounded benefits package that takes care of our employees' health, wealth, and work/life balance.
