For permanent employment OHB System AG in Bremen  is looking for aSystem Performance Engineer (m/f/d) Your Tasks Job description:As part of the Satellite Systems Engineering department, the System Performance team is responsible for controlling the system performance of our spacecraft from study phases until commissioning in-orbit. As part of our team, you will work in an inter-disciplinary environment in which you can contribute to the overall system architecture of our space missions, coordinate design and development activities related to space system performance and verify the performance requirements by analyses and tests. TasksIn this position, you will work in collaboration with architects and subsystem engineers on tasks like: Modelling of the Satellite’s imaging geometry and analysis of the geometric performancesPointing performance engineering on subjects like microvibration, thermo-elastic deformation and others. Implementation of the performance calibration and development of the associated software tools. Performance testing at various levels (Satellite, Platform, Units) including the test evaluation. Algorithm development for data processing and simulation focused on satellite level aspects such as geometry. Implementation and Maintenance of the Satellite Characterization and Calibration Database used for the on-ground data processing Your QualificationsUniversity degree in physics, aerospace engineering, remote sensing, or similarProfessional experience of at least five years in one or more of the following categories Satellite design, in particular optical and/or radar missionsDesign & simulation of control systems, multibody systems, mechanisms or similarGeometric performances of Earth observation space missionsTechnical management of payload and/or unit development for space missionsEnd-to-End Simulation of Earth-Observation and/or Science Data Experience in programming (MATLAB, Python)Self-managed, solution-oriented and pro-active working styleAbility lead a work in a team and manage a work-package with contributions from different team membersWorking level proficiency in written and spoken English and German.
