Supervising Labor Services Representative

Duties Description As a Supervising Labor Services Representative in the Division of Employment and Workforce Solutions you would supervise professional and clerical staff through the development of a cohesive team that focuses on meeting Department needs by directing staff in a uniform approach ensuring the delivery of services to the agency’s customers. You may be responsible for representing the Commissioner of Labor and the Division Director at meetings with local workforce investment boards, the local Chamber of Commerce and other community based organizations. Minimum Qualifications If Civil Service Eligible list(s) exist, they will be canvassed. You may also apply if you are eligible for appointment by one of the following qualifications:Subsequent 55 B/C Qualifications:A subsequent 55-b/c appointment may be considered if you have one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a grade 18 or above, as determined to be similar by civil service and have a current Civil Service 55-b/c approval letter.Reassignment Qualifications: (DOL Employees ONLY)Current Department of Labor employees with at least one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55-b/c service in a Supervising Labor Services Representative title; if you have less than one year, you must be reachable on the current Supervising Labor Services Representative eligible list for this location, if one exists.70.1 Transfer Qualifications: One year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55-b/c service in the following titles may qualify for transfer pursuant to Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law:Employment Counselor – Grade 18Employment Counselor Spanish Language – Grade 18Employment Services Representative – Grade 18Investigative Officer 2 Unemployment Insurance – Grade 20Senior Administrative Analyst – Grade 18Senior Unemployment Insurance Hearing Representative – Grade 20Senior Unemployment Insurance Reviewing Examiner – Grade 20Unemployment Insurance Accounts Support Supervisor 1 – Grade 20Workforce Programs Specialist 1 – Grade 18A review of your state history is needed if you meet any of the below Permanent Competitive qualifications.
