Shape the future of renewable energies with Asset Ocean GmbH As a BI & Analytics Engineer, you are responsible for designing and maintaining scalable, business-aligned data models and consumption layers that empower stakeholders to derive insights. You work closely with internal teams to translate raw data into usable, validated, and documented structures. You are expected to operate independently, contribute to enablement efforts, and align technical delivery with business logic. What you can expect: Build and maintain semantic models and consumption layers (e.g., dbt, SQL views)Translate business requirements into reusable logic and aggregationsCreate and optimize solutions and reporting applications based on Microsoft Power BIDebug and validate data flows, joins, and business logicDocument data definitions, usage guides, and consumption best practicesSupport stakeholder enablement through training, feedback, and technical guidanceCollaborate with Data Engineering and Platform teams to ensure smooth data delivery Your profile: Requirements Work Independently: Take ownership of your tasks, deliver scoped work autonomously, keep stakeholders informed, and raise blockers early.Show Initiative: Spot opportunities to improve data usability, enhance documentation, and create a better stakeholder experience.Drive Impact: Own key system components and deliver solutions that are reliable, scalable, and aligned with team goals.Communicate Clearly: Explain technical concepts in simple terms and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.Stay Ahead: Anticipate stakeholder needs and propose solutions before issues arise.Build Relationships: Foster trust and alignment across teams through open communication and support. What You Bring Strong SQL and data modeling skills; experience with Data Vault is a plus.Hands-on experience with ETL processes (e.g., dbt or similar transformation frameworks).Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.Ability to interpret and integrate business logic across cross-functional domains (operations, trading, risk).
