EMEA Tax Manager, Strategic Tax & ControversyWe are looking for a highly talented and motivated Tax Manager to join our team in Wuppertal, Germany to support our EDS EMEA Tax Lead.This is a truly unique opportunity to work on global transactions, planning opportunities, and controversy issues throughout EMEA that drive significant value. You’ll be joining a highly skilled team working with senior operational and functional leadership around the world. A great way to accelerate your career and participate in the evolution of the automotive industry with an well positioned company.Your Role:Develop effective planning opportunities and controversy resolution strategies.Research complex (international) tax and transfer-pricing issues.Draft internal memos, analysis, and financial models.Translating data from a range of sources into insights and deliverables.Building effective long-term relationships with our business teams and external advisors.Communicating complex tax issues to our business teams, tax auditors, and courts.Interest in the technology automotive industry is a plus.Your Background:Must haves: Intelligence, passion, and integrity… people that want to do big things, have fun doing it, and are able to collaborate to get things done… people that make this a better place to work for all around them with positive attitude, work ethic, and drive.Minimum of 7 years of work experience, ideally 5-7 years’ experience in a professional advisory tax organization (Big 4 or law firm is a plus). Specifically experience in one or more of the following areas:Tax Controversy matters, and / orInternational Tax,Transfer Pricing,Tax Accounting,Operating Model Efficiency, Value Chain Transformation, or similar global supply chain structuring teams a plus. A tax advisor or equivalent qualification.Familiarity with US GAAP, IFRS, and statutory accounting standards a plus. A degree in law, finance, business administration, economics, accounting or similar.Ability and interest in global travel and operating in a fast paced environment.Candidates must be authorized to work in Germany or Switzerland.Demonstrated written and oral communication or presentation skill highly valued. Familiarity and ability to use excel, ppt, and word required; SAP awareness positive.Why join us?You can grow at Aptiv.
