You should have strong Python skills, know how to manage Redis cache, AWS S3 or DBT, and bring experience in the German or European power market. You'll work in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment and collaborate closely with traders and developers to turn data into real trading decisions.What You'll DoBuild and maintain models to forecast power demand, renewable generation, and prices in the German and Western European intraday marketsDevelop robust data pipelines to collect, clean and combine internal and external data ( grid, weather, or market data)Analyse market data and derive insights to optimise trading strategiesHelp build tools for automated trading and market analyticsContribute to models predicting local grid congestion and identifying flexibility opportunitiesCollaborate closely with our Trading, Flexibility and Tech teams across Germany and the UKSupport the development of our forecasting and analytics frameworks across the businessWhat You'll NeedExcellent Python programming skillsExperience with time series data, forecasting, and machine learning ( Redis cache, AWS S3, Databricks, Grafana)Exposure to the German or European electricity market ( EPEX Spot, Redispatch, TSOs)Experience building data pipelines and automating data workflowsAbility to clearly communicate modelling approaches, including assumptions and limitationsA structured, quality-focused way of working and a desire to take ownershipEnthusiasm for accelerating the energy transition and optimising flexible power systemsFluent German and English (both are required)Why else you'll love it hereWondering what the salary for this role is?
