Simulation Engineer

Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your worldResponsibilities: Simulation and design of mechanical seals for gases and liquidsStructural analyses and strength assessments of components using FEM, including dynamic and thermal simulationsDevelopment and maintenance of automated simulation workflows and development of calculation toolsInterpretation and presentation of simulation results to support decision-making in the product development processQualifications:Completed studies (doctorate / PhD welcome) in mechanical engineering / process engineering / physics / technical mathematics, computational engineering or similar fieldsSolid foundational knowledge in the fields of engineering mechanics, structural mechanics, thermodynamics, machine elements and materials science, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transferKnowledge of finite element analysis and the use of corresponding tools (e.g. Ansys, Abaqus)Experience in applying artificial intelligence methods, especially in relation to physical systems (e.g. surrogate models, data-driven simulation, reinforcement learning)Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, .NET, or similarVery good German skills (at least C1) as well as good English skills, both written and spokenProfessional experience desired
