Job Profile Vista’s team of over 4,400 aviation and technology experts works across 6 operation hubs, 7 maintenance sites and 36 offices worldwide, getting better and bigger for over 20 years.As part of our continued expansion, we’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Aircraft Parts & Inventory Specialist to support our dynamic maintenance operations. This is a key role within our Hamburg office, where you'll be instrumental in ensuring aircraft readiness by sourcing, purchasing, and managing parts and materials. Your Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of Maintenance and will perform all functions related to sourcing, buying and repair of materials.Sourcing of materials to secure the best value for the company, writing purchase orders, and generating repair ordersDetermining most appropriate logistical need to transport parts to aircraftExpediting parts to meet operational requirementsCoordinating with Maintenance Operations Center and Planning to ensure that all materials arrive as neededCommunicate and resolve aircraft material issues with Engineering, Maintenance, and Maintenance PlanningInitiating and Tracking shipment orders to delivery of parts and core returnsSupport in Customs Clearing where neededUpdating of information and communication systemsPerforming clerical duties as assigned, such as updating cost databases, participating in the daily team meeting and some ‘on-call’ duties as required Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Demonstrated experience in Logistics or PurchasingMeticulous attention to detail with strong organizational abilitiesProven ability to take initiative, prioritize assignments and work independentlyAbility to work collaboratively and be an effective member of the team in a fast-paced safety sensitive environmentExperience in either of the following is preferred but not essential:Working in an aircraft maintenance environmentPurchasing aircraft partsPerforming inventories of parts and consumablesPurchasing and inventory managementPreferably possesses familiarity with industry standardsCapable of coordinating and prioritizing requests in an organized, urgent mannerExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organizationFluent in spoken and written English and GermanAdditional, advantageous experience:Customs broker experience and knowledge of international shipping requirementsKnowledge of Hazardous Material shipping requirements
