(Senior) DevSecOps Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our Payment team, which is responsible for the complete payment lifecycle, from customers first placing their orders within the Checkout to handling the refund of a returned item weeks later. Between these two points, the team interacts with a multitude of internal and external players, spanning from internal business to other tech teams and multiple payment providers in a variety of countries. The applications the Payment team maintains span from high traffic & fault tolerance API hubs to security-conscious and reliable backend processing engines. What will you doMaintain and continuously improve our AWS infrastructure using IaCAutomate deployment workflows using tools like GitlabCI and Terraform, while maintaining documentation of infrastructure configurations and operational processes.Develop and implement monitoring solutions across integration, staging, and live environments to proactively identify and resolve issues, and respond swiftly to system alerts and incidents.Stay updated on industry trends, evaluate new technologies to enhance platform performance and reliability, and implement security best practices to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.Develop and maintain cloud security solutions, integrating security best practices into company processes.Manage patching across the entire infrastructure and tech stack to minimize vulnerabilities.Audit and secure Kubernetes and AWS environments, identifying misconfigurations and mitigating security risks.Automate security controls in CI/CD pipelines and implement SAST/DAST for secure development.Scan Git repositories for potential credential leaks and improve security monitoring.Collaborate with teams on security initiatives and participate in cybersecurity audits.Stay updated on emerging threats and proactively enhance cloud and application security. Who you areAt least 5+ years of experience in DevOps and 3+ years of experience in Security focused roleStrong Experience maintaining Unix/Linux servers.Strong Experience running  Kubernetes at scaleFeels proficient with Terraform, and at least one among Go, Python, Javascript.Knowledge of security best practices applied to AWS and Kubernetes.Know how to use Gitlab  in your daily routine. Strong problem-solving abilities.Strong Automation skills to streamline workflows.Experience with Agile methodology and a proactive approach.Strong Experience in Monitoring and Observability of the infrastructure (Datadog preferred) and vulnerabilities discovery and tracking with tools such us Falco, GuarddutyStrong experience in architectural design for cloud optimized applicationsFluent in English both spoken and written Nice to have:AWS or K8s certifications BenefitsGrow together with one of the fastest growing eCommerce companies in EuropeFlexible working times (10 AM - 16 PM German Time Zone as core working-time)40% discount on our online shopFresh fruits + drinks everywhereLanguage courses (German & English)Free sports courses & reduced price for gym membershipSubsidized public transportation ticketFree choice of hardware and operating system (Mac, Windows, Linux) also for private usageState-of-the-art tech stack running on AWSModern office in the city center of HamburgsInternational working environment and English as company languageAgile work environment (MOVE) and cross-functional teamsFree access to Germany’s greatest developer conference code.talksFree access to online learning platforms like Laracast, Egghead and A Cloud  YOU ARE THE CORE OF SCAYLE.
