We’re looking for a hands-on engineer to join us on-site, building and maintaining the embedded Linux agents that power our smart kiosks. You’ll work at the heart of our technology, integrating payment terminals and other peripherals to bring seamless, reliable performance to life. If you’re excited about turning cutting-edge ideas into robust, real-world solutions, we’d love to hear from you Tasks Develop and maintain Python edge agents on embedded Linux devices (ARM/Raspberry Pi class) with focus on reliability, telemetry, and updates Integrate payment terminals (e.g. MDB/ZVT) and ensure robust transaction flows, including error recovery Perform signal-level debugging using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers Harden Linux images (systemd services, logging, boot behavior) with reproducible setups (e.g. Ansible) Contribute to testability and documentation through hardware-in-the-loop tests, protocol traces, and troubleshooting guides Requirements Ausbildung als Fachinformatiker, Mathematisch-technischer Softwareentwickler or studies in a information technology field Strong ability for abstract and analytical thinking – more important than formal education Fluent in english, german is a plus Nice to have: Experience with MQTT, DOCKER, D‑Bus/NetworkManager, oscilloscope/logic analyzer or Payment terminals/vending protocols Benefits A key role in a fast-growing, highly innovative start-up An agile, international team with colleagues from around the globe Open work culture with flat hierarchies and quick decision-making Dog-friendly office in a central location with great food, shopping, and excellent public transport connections Modern tech stack featuring the latest IoT hardware and software Plenty of creative freedom for your ideas, projects, and personal growth Free EGYM Wellpass membership We are a B2B IoT tech startup focused on a smart kiosk (intelligent fridge) that independently recognizes, tracks, manages, and sells products.
