|| []; function gtag(){(arguments);} gtag('js', new Date()); gtag('config', 'UA-142498025-1'); Position Summary: As a Senior Design Security Engineer 3, you will be an expert in designing and deploying various technologies to improve our customers' physical security posture along with managing technical requirements and leading the regional engineering team out of Stuttgart, Germany. This position requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of physical security solutions, design modeling and standards, implementing and improving design delivery processes, deploying tried and true, as well as cutting edge technology. You should be able to quickly and  thoroughly understand customers’ needs and translate that into solutions designs that can be deployed at scale globally. This position is located in Stuttgart, Germany and the candidate should be willing to relocate. The responsibilities of this role include development of systems and project requirements as per clients’ needs, collaboration with clients, partners, vendors and internal teams to provide best in-class solutions, high level of systems designs with required technical specifications, systems analysis reports and design development, the preparation of new builds and projects drawings, specifications, technology product selection, installation sequence planning, commissioning testing/commissioning scripts, process streamlining and improvements. Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to: Define and determine design projects scope of work based on customers’ needs providing high quality design solutions and incorporating new models to augment design  standards  Review Request for Proposals (RFP) documentation, Statement of Work, and Client  Specifications provided for new project bids. Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and Forecast Engineering Time for new project bids. Develop procedures to validate system configuration, test plans, deployment/commissioning plans and administration procedures. Developing and improving design standards. Leading complex projects, mentoring and overseeing projects execution through design  excellence processes, ensuring high delivery quality Design, sustain, and provide technical support for deployed security systems. Partner with engineering leadership to identify skill gaps and prioritize training initiatives. Collaborate with installation, deployment, and Project Management teams to ensure standards are maintained, provide recommendations and guidance on solution  deployments, and assist in resolving issues at a high level. Collaborate with other engineering teams on new technology developments or changes  in customers’ environments that may require new solutions. Working knowledge and/or certification with electronic security systems and applications  like CCURE (Software House), Genetec, Lenel, Milestone, HID, Axis, and/or others.  Candidate should have in-depth knowledge and understanding of how these systems  operate and be familiar with flaws and improvements. Help identify, as needed, new technologies and/or changes in customer environments  that may require new solutions and present them to the senior engineering management to be developed. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on security engineering needs and  requirements for system performance, installations, and sustainment programs. Specific position requirements are as follows: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering adjacent (, Electrical, Computer Science) 5-7 years of security systems and design experience Hands on experience designing and deploying Physical Security Systems. Experience with defining engineering scope of work and leading engineering and  technical team Leadership and management skills Experience designing and maintaining engineering solutions. High level of expertise with AutoCAD and/or Revit. Reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer. Self-motivated and driven. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced collaborative environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to travel up to 25%. Desired / Advantageous Certifications: AutoCAD BIM/Revit Bluebeam Access control system certifications (Software House CCURE, Lenel) Video Management Systems Certifications (Genetec, Milestone, Axis) Abilities: Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
