Accounting and Reporting Director

Job DescriptionThe Accounting and Reporting Director will be a key leadership role at ib vogt, responsible for overseeing the financial integrity of the company while driving operational excellence in financial management and reporting. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Accounting and Reporting Director will manage a dynamic, globally distributed finance team, ensuring the highest standards of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls across the organization.Oversee and ensure the integrity of all financial accounting, reporting, and compliance with international financial standards, including IFRS and local GAAPEnsure timely and accurate financial reporting, working with operating accounting teamsProvide strategic insights through financial reporting and analysis to support executive decision-making and long-term planningWork closely with senior management and the supervisory board to align goalsDevelop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standardsMonitor and analyse financial data to detect potential risks, inefficiencies, or irregularities. Implement risk management protocols and corrective actions to prevent financial loss and ensure regulatory complianceLead and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals, promoting a culture of continuous improvementIntroduce automation and digitalization initiatives to streamline financial operation workflows, reduce manual effort and enhance reporting accuracyDrive improvements of ERP systems and tools to support the abovePartner closely with the treasury, corporate finance, tax, sales, investment management, legal, and business units to ensure alignment on financial strategy and decision-makingQualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferredMinimum of 10 years of progressive experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within the renewable energy sector, high growth industry or audit firm. Experience with private equity portfolio companies is a plusProven track record in managing finance operations in wide-spread, global organizations, particularly those in the renewable energy, project-related businesses, or growth sectorsExtensive experience in overseeing group financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple business units and regionsStrong experience in implementing ERP systems, improving finance processes, and driving operational efficiencyA mature, inspiring leader with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams and foster a culture for continuous improvementExcellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholdersStrong analytical capabilities with a focus on providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadershipFluency in English is essential; proficiency in business German is preferred Why Join Us?
