Junior Herd Manager

Responsibilities / Tasks - Global Herd Management SupportProvide expert guidance on herd management topics and support the use of GEA software solutions (e.g., DairyNetBox, CowScout, CattleEye)Advise on feeding strategies and performance optimization, especially after the implementation of automated milking and feeding systemsOffer hands-on support during system commissioning and beyond- Training & Knowledge SharingConduct international training sessions and contribute to the development of learning formats, from e-learning modules to webinarsHelp create, maintain, and update training materials and digital content- Communication & CoordinationCollaborate closely with internal departments, global herd managers, and service specialistsHandle service requests via ticketing systems and ensure timely, effective solutions- Project Work & InnovationParticipate in development projects aimed at improving herd management processes and digital solutionsSupport the creation of technical documentation, guidelines, and presentationsYour Profile / QualificationsA degree in agricultural sciences with a focus on cattle, veterinary science or a comparable agricultural qualificationFirst professional experience in herd management or similarAdditional practical expertise in feeding or breeding is a plusA proactive, customer-focused mindset and the ability to work independentlyExcellent organizational and communication skills, and a collaborative spiritCuriosity, openness or experience in working with AI-based tools and technologies to enhance herd management and decision-makingStrong English skills (spoken and written); other languages are a bonusWillingness to travel internationally on occasionWhat We Offer:A dynamic international work environment with exciting challenges35-hour full-time work week with flexible hours (flextime)Salary and benefits are based on the applicable collective labor agreementComprehensive onboarding and continuous learning opportunities30 days of vacationCompany bike leasing programOn-site cafeteria, health initiatives & employee discounts (Corporate Benefits)
