We, Opto GmbH, are an expanding medium-sized company that develops, manufactures, and distributes high-quality special applications for renowned companies in Germany and abroad. Our product range extends from classic stereo microscopes to automated digital fluorescence microscopes in the OEM sector and is in high demand, particularly in biotechnology, medical technology, ophthalmology, science, and industry. As an owner-managed company with around 75 employees at several locations, we are flexible and crisis-proof and want to further expand our strong market position. Tasks • Technology scouting and trend observation in the fields of optics, lighting, imaging, sensor technology, and photonics • Assessment of the technical feasibility and innovation potential of new concepts • Development and construction of functional models and prototypes • Close cooperation with internal development departments (optics, electronics, software, mechanics) • Definition and simulation of new optical concepts • Conducting feasibility studies and system analyses • Supporting the transfer of innovative concepts into product development • Identifying, developing, and registering patents and property rights • Collaborating with research partners, universities, and technology suppliers • Presenting concepts and results to internal committees and decision-making teams Requirements • A degree in physics, optics, microscopy, photonics, engineering, or a comparable field • Several years of experience in optical system development or microscopy • Knowledge of optical design • Experience in experimental setup, prototyping, and system integration • Experience with imaging, lighting systems, laser technology, or fluorescence techniques • Understanding of mechanical and electronic interfaces in microscopes • Ability to quickly grasp new technologies and test their applicability Benefits • Company pension plan and an attractive compensation package • Plenty of freedom for your own initiatives and ideas, coupled with short decision-making processes • Flexible working hours and mobile work for a good work-life balance • Comprehensive training and support from experienced colleagues • Exciting tasks with responsibility and freedom for your own ideasDie Opto GmbH entwickelt und fertigt seit 40 Jahren kompakte Imaging Module für die Industrie und Medizintechnik. Dieses Wissen ermöglicht es uns, hocheffiziente optische Lösungen zu liefern, die Wirtschaftlichkeit und Leistung in Einklang bringen. Die Materialisierung in Imaging Module und die Realisierung von Digitalmikroskopen als Vision Sensorenist nur eine logische Weiterentwicklung und vereint alle unsere Fähigkeiten in einem Produkt.
