The Riemann Lab is Huawei’s main department focused on map and geospatial technologies. This position will assist in the development of research and technologies related to geospatial cognition, through deep learning and large language models. Join us as aIntern/Working Student in R&D for Spatial Scene Understanding (m/f/d) Your missionDesign and implement applications for 3D scene visualization and multi modal interactionConduct research and contribute to improving cutting-edge machine learning architectures for 3D scene understanding and spatial cognition Your areas of expertiseBSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or any other related fieldCurrently undertaking an MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or any other related fieldStrong Rust programming skills, with experience in 3D data manipulation, and hands-on experience with 3D Gaussian SplattingStrong knowledge of computer graphics, WebGPU, software engineering and system architectureFamiliar with version control tools like git, as well as UNIX-like operating systemsGood knowledge of the concepts, structures, formats and handling of 3D dataKnowledge of deep learning applied to the geospatial domain is a plusFluent in written and spoken English is requiredBy applying to this position, you agree with our Recruitment Privacy Statement.
