System Architect

Your missionTALPA is looking for a System Architect to play a guiding role in shaping and aligning our platform architecture. This position involves close collaboration with both product and engineering teams to ensure a cohesive and future-ready technical direction. The ideal candidate brings a structured approach to architectural design, a broad understanding of technology trends, and the ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.About the RoleAs System Architect, you will lead the alignment of architectural efforts across the platform. You will help teams make well-informed decisions by applying structured methodologies and comparing solution options in a transparent and objective way. You will work across teams to integrate business and technical goals, while also driving long-term quality and scalability.Your Responsibilities:Lead and support component architects and developers to ensure consistency across the overall system architectureUnderstand future business, customer and product needs, and translate them into architectural requirementsDefine and implement processes for architectural documentation, planning and change managementOwn and maintain the technology and architecture roadmapFacilitate knowledge-sharing and skill development within engineering teamsContinuously monitor relevant technology trends and feed insights into long-term planningBalance innovation, feature delivery and technical debt resolution in architectural decisionsAlign and moderate discussions among diverse stakeholders to reach shared architectural outcomesYour profileWhat is required?:Strong methodological skills in system architecture and design, especially in software-driven environmentsFamiliarity with requirement management, system modeling, diagramming, and structured decision-makingKnowledge of architectural patterns and frameworks such as microservices, layered architectures, and event-driven systemsGeneral understanding of current programming languages and technology stacks, particularly in domains such as IoT, big data, and AI/MLExperience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS), containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), data systems (SQL, NoSQL, graph databases), and data pipelines (ETL, streaming)Awareness of secure development practices and cybersecurity principlesStrong communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teamsNice to have:Experience with edge computing and embedded systemsFamiliarity with classical, agile, or hybrid project management methodologiesExposure to creativity and innovation methodsUnderstanding of quality and security standards such as ISO 27001Experience with data analytics or data science workflowsAwareness of UX/UI principles and lean startup approachesIndustry knowledge in heavy equipment, telemetry, vehicle data, or equipment-as-a-service contextsWhy us?TALPA is a value-driven organization, and we are excited about what we do.
