AMSilk yarns are supplied to leading global brands in fashion, footwear, accessories, automotive, and home textiles – helping to shape the future of sustainable materials.  As a Luxury Fiber Application Engineer (m/f/d) in our Fiber Business Unit, you will play a central role in driving the adoption of AMSilk’s sustainable silk-based yarns in the luxury fashion industry. You will collaborate with scientists, textile partners, and global brands to develop, promote, and implement high-performance, next-generation textile solutions. This position bridges deep technical expertise with creativity, customer focus, and strong project execution skills.Your responsibility and impact within AMSilk company means to:Design and optimize AMSilk’s yarn portfolio to ensure high performance, fitness for use, and cost efficiency across textile applicationsDevelop strong partnerships with selected luxury brands and key multipliers (e.g., fabric mills) to co-create fabric collections for promotion and commercializationProvide hands-on technical guidance to customers, helping them integrate AMSilk’s yarns into their fabrics and resolving application or performance challengesWork closely with R&D, Sales, and internal teams to develop new yarn solutions, support commercial teams with technical presentations, and deliver customer trainingConduct thorough testing of yarn and fabric constructions to assess performance, usability, and end-use compatibilityAct as a guardian of technical specifications from a customer and application perspectiveRepresent AMSilk at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events, highlighting our technical leadershipProvide consistent market and customer feedback to internal teams to inform development and strategyStay up to date on market trends, technologies, and regulatory changes, contributing to competitive positioning of AMSilk yarnsEnsure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., Oeko-Tex®, biodegradability) and support customers in meeting their sustainability goalsYour areas of knowledge and expertise are:Master of Science in Textile Engineering5+ years of experience in application technology and project management within the textile industryFluent in English and either French or ItalianExperience with luxury fibers such as silk, cashmere, or alpaca is a plusHands-on experience in textile production is an advantageInternational work experience in France or Italy is a strong assetStrong customer- and market-oriented communication skillsSolid understanding of standard textile processes: yarning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, and finishingFamiliarity with production processes in luxury apparel, footwear, and accessoriesOpen-minded, solution-oriented, and creative approach to technical challengesWe would love to have you in our team if you:Enjoy teamwork and collaboration Have a good sense of humorAre bold, creative and think outside the boxLive a solutions-driven approach and have a pragmatic working styleAre willing to learn something new every dayWhat you can expect from us:At AMSilk we believe in providing a well-rounded benefits package that takes care of our employees' health, wealth, and work/life balance.
