The position is located in the Theoretical Physics group at Bielefeld University. The successful candidate will conduct research in the Emmy Noether junior group of Dr. Adrien Florio as part of the Collaborative Research Center CRC-TRR 211 "Strong-Interaction Matter under Extreme Conditions". The focus of the project will be on applying quantum-information inspired method to the study of phase transitions. The inspiring environment and the broad scientific network of the CRC (Bielefeld and partner universities in Frankfurt am Main and Darmstadt) offer solid training and regular and regular workshops on topics such as lattice QCD, quantum field theory or software development and high-performance computing. We are looking for a dedicated and motivated scientist who will actively contribute to the scientific progress and management of the group and its activities in collaboration with other members. Your Tasks perform research on the above-mentioned topics (80 %) publish their results in scientific journals and present at workshop/conferences (10 %) teaching of tutorials/courses and supervision of Bachelor and Master students (8 %) participate in the organization of the academic life in the physics department (2 %) The employment is conducive to scientific qualification, the opportunity for academic (further) qualification (doctorate/habilitation) is provided.
