Principal Engineer

All of our positions are fully remote. You do not have to relocate to join us The Position You'll be joining 250 engineers across Frontend, Backend, SRE and QA. We're organised into cross-functional development teams assigned to specific product areas. Our backend is built with Elixir and Phoenix, with a Postgres database. We use React and Nextjs for our frontend. Gitlab is used as a version control tool and a CI/CD solution. Our applications are hosted on AWS. We fully rely on our CI for deployments and deploy multiple times per day.We're organized into cross-functional development teams assigned to specific verticals and as the first Principal Engineer at Remote, you will partner closely with 15 staff engineers across the business. What you bring You have experience as a Principal Engineer or in a similar seniority role, with a history of building, maintaining, and scaling complex software and systems. Experience in scaling software systems to accommodate a growing number of contributors and teams. A track record of mentoring and fostering the development of fellow engineers, and influencing engineering teams and projects. Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic and pragmatic approach to challenges, driving innovation and efficiency.
