Your responsibilitiesAt AlphaPet Ventures, we are driven by the vision of making healthy pet food the new standard.To further professionalize our digital processes and make our e-commerce platforms future-proof, we are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to play a key role in shaping the architecture and development of our central Odoo-based ERP system — and to drive innovation through the use of AI.Design and develop sophisticated solutions for our Odoo-based ERP system, optimize existing modules, and ensure their stability, efficiency, and scalabilityImplement strategic ERP projects, evaluate the technical feasibility of requirements from tickets, and collaborate closely with Product OwnersManage the entire release process, handle branch management (Git), monitor the CI/CD pipeline, and communicate releases to all stakeholdersWrite clean, maintainable code, ensure quality through comprehensive testing, and promote high standards in the team through code reviewsProactively identify opportunities for process automation and apply your knowledge of AI tools to optimize our development and business processesYour profileAt least 5 years of professional experience in software development, ideally with a focus on backend or ERP systemsSolid, hands-on experience in developing with Odoo and the OCA framework is essentialProven experience in using AI tools for process optimization, code review, or system improvementExcellent knowledge of Python and PostgreSQL, and confident handling of Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelinesStrong commitment to sustainable software architecture, clean code, and a solution-oriented mindsetFluent in English; German language skills are a plusWhat we offerResponsible, exciting, and varied tasks with plenty of creative freedom in a dynamic company that values flat hierarchies and an open, informal work culture where everyone is on a first-name basisA friendly, open team of around 340 employees located in Munich, Leipzig, and Albourne (UK) — plus several lovely office dogs at our sitesFlexible working hours based on trust, home-office options including financial support for your equipment, and the possibility to work abroad for several months28 days of paid vacation, plus up to 20 additional unpaid leave days and special leave optionsVarious internal and external training opportunities you can choose according to your interestsAttractive employee discounts — for both humans and petsRegular team, company, and family & friends eventsNeed a break?
