Job DescriptionIn a nutshellWe’re looking for an experienced Java Software Developer to join our forensic software team. You’ll help build and evolve the tools that support criminal investigations, forensic medicine, and DNA analysis. From backend optimisation to full-stack development, your work will directly contribute to the solving of crimes under investigation.Where will you be based and what business will you support?You’ll be based in Dresden, supporting our software solutions used by forensic labs, police departments, and investigative institutions across Europe.How can you help us?Software Development & OptimisationEnhance our Java-based software suite built on Eclipse RCPDevelop full-stack solutions using JEE, Wildfly, Docker, and PostgreSQLIntegrate APIs via REST, SOAP, and other technologiesAnalyse new requirements and implement scalable solutionsOptimise performance and ensure system stabilityAgile CollaborationWork closely with cross-functional teams in Scrum or Kanban environmentsContribute to sprint planning, reviews, and continuous improvementQualificationsEducationDegree or vocational training in computer science or a related fieldExperienceSeveral years of experience in Java or Kotlin developmentSolid understanding of software architecture and CI/CD workflowsFamiliarity with GIT and modern development environmentsSkills & AttributesStrong communication skills in German and EnglishTeam-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solvingAre you our kind of extraordinary?You’re passionate about clean code, scalable systems, and meaningful impact.
