Research Assistant in the Faculty of Computer Science

Main responsibilities: Participation in research and teaching (4 semester hours per week) of the research group Research and teaching in the area of sensor data fusion, distributed state estimation, and autonomous robotic systems Documentation, publication, and presentation of research results The opportunity to pursue a PhD is given and is supported accordingly. Requirements for the position: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related subject Expertise in one or more of the following areas: • Distributed and decentralized information processing • Sensor data fusion, sensor networks • Kalman filtering, Bayesian inference Machine learning in robotic applications Experience in robot programming Proficiency in the German and English language (spoken and written) High self-motivation, team working skills, and readiness for interdisciplinary work Experience in teaching and organization of lectures is an advantage This is a fixed-term position, initially until 28.02., but can be potentially extended For further information about the position, please contact contact Prof. Dr.-Ing.
