We investigate how the spatial organization of chromosomes and specific DNA sequences within the nucleus influences gene expression by visualizing nuclear architecture combining molecular biology, biochemistry, and super-resolution imaging methodsThis interdisciplinary project offers an exciting opportunity to investigate protein–nucleic acid interactions within the cell nucleus and uncover the molecular mechanisms underlying global chromatin organization. The successful candidate will work with a diverse range of techniques, including biochemical assays, long-read sequencing and super-resolution microscopy. The project’s focus will be shaped to align with the candidate’s expertise and research interests, providing room for creativity and scientific growth in a collaborative and dynamic environment.Applicants should hold/soon expect a PhD degree in area of the life sciences (molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology), and have initial experience in biochemistry, molecular biology or fluorescence microscopy methods.Candidates should be passionate about science, curiosity-driven, self-motivated, and eager to work in an international and multi-disciplinary team.
