With over 200,000 employees, Huawei is committed to develop the future information society and build a Better Connected World.Huawei's Kepler Research Center in Jena is responsible for advanced technology research and architectural development of optics-related products.At the Kepler Research Center – Automotive Optics Team we are now looking for a:Optics Research InternWe are seeking a skilled candidate in optical design for optical display / picture generation unit(PGU) / polarization devices in PGU.Your missionTrack the advanced technologies in the relevant fields, gain insight into, and explore new technologies and direction;Perform research and design work in the design of optical systems and freeform mirrors, in field of optical display, PGU;Go from the analysis of the application requirements, through solution design and system simulation, up to proof of concept and prototyping;Extensive interaction and close collaboration with co-workers in the team and from other departments, combine with top industry resources to achieve the business objectives.Your areas of expertiseProven experiences in designing optical system for imaging or/and beam shaping are preferred.Theoretical knowledge in geometric optics, and applicants with a degree in optics-related fields are preferred.Experiences in optical design and simulation software: Ray tracing based software and Finite-Difference Time-Domain based software etc., are preferred. Programming skills are considered as a plus, particularly experience with Python etc.Excellent abilities in problem identification, analysis and solving, and systematic and goal-oriented work approach.Enthusiasm to work as part of our international team with fluent communication skills in English.By applying to this position, you agree with our Recruitment Privacy Statement.
