Who are we? First Momentum is a Pre-Seed investor for Deep Tech & B2B Tech founders in Europe. We have made over 40 investments, from Quantum Computing to In-space Propulsion, with many startups raising follow-on rounds from international top VCs. As most of us are engineers at heart and investors by choice, we support founders hands-on in the areas that make a difference. (Patricia Meka) Tasks Support the investment team by sourcing promising pre-seed start-ups through various channels Lead initial screening calls with startup founders independently Take care of incoming start-up applications and establish communication with the most important internal and external stakeholders Accompany exciting start-ups through the entire investment process: from sourcing through the due diligence process to the completed investment Take part and get first-hand insights into our Investment Committee meetings Create deep dives into various topics and present your findings to the team Support our investor relations team with inquiries and various projects Assist the Partners in various portfolio support activities Requirements Strong academical background in economics, technology or a related field and have gained practical experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally in the startup industry. Exceptional analytical skills, are highly motivated, and consistently deliver above average performance. Comfortable working independently and thrive on tackling ambitious projects. Curious, convincing, and reflective, while enjoying communicating with startup founders and team members alike. Passionate about the startup industry and venture capital. Getting a comprehensive and transparent insight into the processes of a VC fund. We have offices in Munich and Karlsruhe but work remotely as we have team members all over Germany. To balance out the remote culture with some quality social time, the whole team meets up once a quarter somewhere in Europe, and we spend a few days working and having fun together. Once part of First Momentum, you are part of our family (team retreats, dinner parties, etc.), even beyond your time with us.
