To support their mission, we are seeking a talented Tritium Breeding Blanket Engineer to join them on a full-time permanent basis. As the successful candidate, your responsibilities as Tritium Breeding Blanket Engineer will include but not limited to, supporting the research and development, selection, and procurement of the TBB and its main interfacing systems. Working as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary project team the TBB Engineer will be expected to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders in all areas of design, analysis, simulations, testing, manufacturing of sub-components, etc.

Your Responsibilities:
* Identify and define the requirements of tritium breeding blanket
* Identify load cases and contribute to the load specification document
* Identify, develop and write interface control documents and interface sheets
* Contribute to the updates of the associated design description documents
* Support mechanical design with engineering verification assessments against criteria defined in standards, regulations and codes
* Define and develop manufacturing and assembly strategies for breeding blankets (proposing prototypes for manufacturing, evaluations and liaising with industrial partners to produce the manufacturing samples).
* Review design analysis and development of test prototypes for breeding blankets (technical design and construction of prototypes, CAD modeling, finite element modeling).
* Support and review development of mock-ups, and full-scale prototypes.
Your Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience which may be in a relevant PhD or in working in the field of tritium breeding technology
* Hands-on industry experience in systems engineering or related fields, ideally in large scale engineering projects, including system architecture design, integration and testing, and familiarity with system engineering tools and methodologies.
* Experience in design in complex environments under harsh conditions, including maintenance implementation
* Ability to produce design descriptions and justification documents for a system combining several engineering disciplines (mechanical, thermal, nuclear, pressure equipment, maintenance)
* Good understanding of the ALARA approach
* Familiarity with the wider fusion and /or nuclear environments and remotely operated maintenance needs
* Knowledgeable on regulations and design criteria for nuclear components (such as RCC-MRx)
* Familiarity with design analysis and development of test prototypes (CAD & finite element modelling)
* Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate complex engineering projects.
