Our client is a medium-sized, highly successful market leader in the cable industry with a turnover in the three-digit million-euro range. The company is characterized by a high level of vertical integration and has production sites on several continents. For the further development of the production site in South Africa, we are looking for you as

Plant Manager (m/f/d) South Africa
  • cable industry-
Tasks

Overall responsibility for the management and optimization of all technical areas and associated processes for a plant with >200MA
Increasing the performance and efficiency of all production processes (automation, processes, digitalization)
Implementation of investment projects and scaling of production capacities
Redesign of cable assembly as an extended workbench for Europe and the USA
Introduction of lean management and a corresponding mindset on the shopfloor
Management, coaching, and development of the local department managers

Requirements
  • Sound technical qualification
  • Several years of management experience as a production and/or plant manager
  • Extensive experience in the cable industry, either with a cable manufacturer or an assembler
  • Entrepreneurial and integrating personality with intercultural experience and seniority
  • Expertise in operational excellence, continuous improvement and cost engineering (lean management, Six Sigma)
  • Written and spoken English, knowledge of German would be a plus
  • Willingness to relocate to South Africa
