We are seeking a highly-talented, dynamic Head of Finance / Finance Director (m/f/d) to join our executive team as the first senior hire in the finance area. The position will play a critical role in building the finance department and thus be a crucial building block for our future success.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee finance operations, including accounting & tax, financial reporting, and treasury.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and objectives.
- Lead financial planning processes and provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
- Manage relationships with investors, auditors, banks, and other financial institutions as well as other external service providers.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Oversee risk management and develop strategies to mitigate financial risks.
- Build, lead, and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Relevant Bachelor's degree (or higher), strong own initiative, and 'hands-on', entrepreneurial mindset.
- Relevant experience in a financial leadership role within the software or technology sector and strong generalist knowledge in all areas of the CFO department, ideally with building up a department from scratch.
- Proven track record of successfully managing financial operations in a high-growth environment.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills and ability to serve as a thought partner for the Chief Executive Officer and the broader executive team.
