Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled System Safety Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Product Safety Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe development, design, production, and support of our flagship VoloCity aircraft and future aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define safety objectives for aircraft systems and architecture
  • Develop and validate safety requirements
  • Conduct safety analysis, including PSSA and SSA
  • Prepare and create system FHA, FTA, FMEA, and FCA
  • Coordinate and manage safety activities with external suppliers
  • Specify and support validation and verification activities
  • Support system-level or component-level milestones
  • Highlight and examine safety concerns associated with proposed design architectures
  • Provide support for formal audits and exchanges with regulatory authorities

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering (Aeronautical Engineering preferred)
  • Knowledge of ARP4761, ARP4754A, and other relevant safety standards
  • At least 3 years of experience in aviation safety and reliability assessment
  • Experience in systems engineering and requirement management
  • Team player with good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of multicopter, tilt-rotor, and helicopter aircraft platforms
  • Experience as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE)
  • Compelling verbal or written negotiation skills
  • Basic knowledge of Li-ion batteries, brushless DC motor control, and other relevant technologies
