Bauingenieur/Site Engineer

As a Site Engineer at Northvolt Drei, you will play a crucial role in overseeing construction activities and ensuring a safe work environment. You will engage with design partners, contractors, and authorities to maintain a smooth installation process.

About the role - As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for managing on-site projects, including traffic infrastructure upgrades and media infrastructure installations. You will align project interfaces with planners, authorities, and execution contractors, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.

About the team - You will be part of the Northvolt Drei project team, responsible for the overall management of this giga-project in Heide, Germany.

• Project management for on-site projects, excluding main production buildings
• Collaboration with design partners, contractors, and authorities to ensure safe working practices
• Alignment of project interfaces to maintain a smooth installation process
• Support in weekly status report meetings to track progress, costs, and risks
• Supervision of early site works, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and incident reporting
• Coordination with construction supervisors to ensure parallel activities are aligned
• Progress reporting to the block manager, with timely updates on installation status
• Identification and reporting of potential schedule delays or cost increases to the block manager
• Ensuring availability of required materials and equipment for contractors
• Assistance to contractors to facilitate unhindered installation activities
• Monitoring contractor performance and providing recommendations for improvement
• Site inspections to ensure quality standards are met, with constructive feedback to contractors
