About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team at GENEWIZ Germany GmbH, a leading provider of automated bio sample management solutions and genomic services. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing innovative automation solutions to drive our business forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement automated workflows and systems to improve productivity and efficiency in our operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and develop solutions to meet business needs.
  • Develop and maintain automated systems, including robotic liquid handlers and laboratory information systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation systems.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of automated systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in automation technology and apply this knowledge to improve our systems and processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, computer science, or life sciences.
  • Several years of experience in automation engineering, with a focus on laboratory automation.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as C#, Java, and SQL.
  • Experience with laboratory information systems and robotic liquid handlers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
