BASF Digital Farming GmbH is seeking a talented individual to join our Crop Protection unit as a Working Student Sustainable Weed Management. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting and gain hands-on experience in the development of deep learning models for agricultural applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Annotate drone images for agricultural applications to contribute to the development of deep learning models.
  • Review models to refine their accuracy and effectiveness, promoting ongoing improvements.
  • Assist with occasional programming tasks as required, leveraging your knowledge in this area.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's student in plant science or IT, with a willingness to acquire agronomic knowledge.
  • Experience in weed management is desirable.
  • Competent handling of standard IT applications, with programming knowledge a plus.
  • Willingness to relocate to Cologne or commit to regular commuting.
  • Strong communicational skills in English.
