Job Summary:
Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic - C-12 King Air to join our team. As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and overhauling assigned aircraft and subsystems to ensure airworthiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of aircraft components.
- Use technical data to troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and repair or replace faulty components.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure maintenance work meets regulatory and company standards.
- Participate in continuous training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest maintenance techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid FAA A&P certificate required.
- Seven (7) or more years' experience as an FAA A&P Aircraft Mechanic on the C-12 King Air or UC-35 Cessna Citation required.
- Completion of formal maintenance training or Army Military training on the assigned aircraft desired.
- Recent full-time experience in aviation maintenance with the assigned aircraft during the past 12 months preferred.
- Flight line and overhaul & inspection experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance required.
- US Citizenship required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance.
- Valid US Passport required for deployment to Germany.
Working Environment:
- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee, and reach above/below shoulders.
- May be required to carry, push, or pull up to and may exceed 50 pounds.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds to height of four feet and be required to lift up to 35 pounds to height of 7 feet.
- May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects, and hand tools.
- Must be able to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through various software applications.
- Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings, and other small scales.
- May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, APU, etc.
- May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure.
- Must be able to travel to and between remote locations in austere and/or hostile environments.
