International Affairs Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our International Affairs Team as an International Affairs Advisor. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to excellence in education and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of students and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and guidance to students on study abroad programs, including information events, workshops, and one-on-one meetings.
- Collaborate with the International Affairs Team across all campus locations and coordinate with teaching, administrative, and service units at assigned locations.
- Support international students with residence permits, registration, accommodation, and other related matters.
- Provide information and advice to new students and support them during the application process.
- Oversee and coordinate new student orientation under the supervision of the International Affairs Senior.
- Coordinate and administer summer schools, language courses, and workshops for international student groups.
- Issue and follow up on administrative documents and verify and process applications.
- Support International Affairs operations and provide excellent customer service to students and staff.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent written and spoken language skills in German and English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of DAAD funding programs (such as Erasmus+ and Promos) is an asset.
- Demonstrated skills in problem-solving and taking proactive action in addressing student problems.
- Demonstrated organizational experience in running events, such as welcome days or new student orientation.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of residence law, e.g. applying for a residence permit, is an asset.
- Completed vocational training or university degree or relevant practical experience in higher education (especially in the area of International Affairs).
- Experience with university management systems such as CampusNet is desirable.
- Experience abroad is advantageous.
