We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Product Engineer to join our team at Infineon Technologies. As a key member of our product engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring manufacturability already in the product development phase by supporting running development projects and taking ownership of dedicated deliverables of the product development flow.
Key Responsibilities- Product Development: Ensure manufacturability already in the product development phase by supporting running development projects and taking ownership of dedicated deliverables of the product development flow.
- Field Returns and Production Deviations: Support and drive the assessment of field returns and production deviations, including coordinating further steps as physical and electrical failure analysis and their technical interpretation.
- Special Lot Clearance: Take responsibility for special lot clearance and actively manage associated risks.
- Cost Reduction: Identify and drive cost reduction potentials for released products, including reduction of test costs and evaluating technical implications.
- Yield Optimization: Responsible for yield optimization for released products, covering multiple frontend and backend production sites.
- Statistical Data Evaluation: Become an expert in statistical data evaluation and strive for continuous improvement of our methodology and tooling landscape to enable the entire product engineering team.
- Technical Evaluations: Align technical evaluations, conclusions, and derived decisions with a wide variety of cross-functional stakeholders in an international, multicultural working environment.
- Education: A degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Physics / Microelectronics / Semiconductor Technology), a PhD would be a plus.
- Experience: +5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, ideally within the role of Product Engineering.
- Skills: Good analytical and problem-solving skills, good methodology development skills, knowledge of scripting tools such as Python, VBA, would be a plus.
- Language: Fluent English communication skills and the desire to learn German.
- Decision-Making: Decision-making as well as communication skills in a complex matrix organization and customer/stakeholder management.
