About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Credit Manager to join our team at ADM. As a Credit Manager, you will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of new customers, monitoring counterparty and country risk, and reviewing and updating existing credit limits.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough credit assessments of new customers to determine their creditworthiness
- Monitor and manage counterparty and country risk to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Review and update existing credit limits to ensure they are aligned with changing business needs
- Collaborate with commercial managers to negotiate credit limit payment terms and communicate decisions in a timely manner
- Partner with the business to identify solutions that support company strategies and objectives
- Analyze customer information, balance sheets, and securities to inform credit decisions
- Document and maintain records of credit assessments and decisions in the GetPaid credit system
- Accountable for documentary business and follow-up on payment plans and bad debts
- Cooperate with legal on insolvency cases and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide credit-related support to internal and external partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Controlling, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a Credit Manager position in an international company, preferably in the food-producing industry
- Fluent command of written and spoken English and good German language skills
- Assertive, target-driven, and autonomous work approach
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to deal with stressful situations and communicate effectively with stakeholders
