About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at E Energy Markets GmbH. As a Lead Engineer Trading, you will play a key role in designing and implementing highly available, scalable, and secure solutions for our energy trading, risk management, and portfolio management business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and lead the implementation of cloud native solutions using Azure technologies

  • Collaborate with a multinational team in an international business with locations in 6 European countries

  • Participate in decision-making processes regarding technologies and technical solutions

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix software issues

  • Suggest architecture improvements and recommend process enhancements

  • Evaluate new technology options and vendor products while ensuring critical system security

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical experience in a similar role supporting large-scale production systems

  • Proficiency in Java programming, including experience with Advanced Java concepts

  • Strong familiarity with Spring Boot and microservices architecture

  • Business fluency in English and German is mandatory
