We are seeking a seasoned financial leader to join our team as the Head of Controlling and FP&A. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy of our organization, ensuring efficient budgeting, forecasting, and reporting practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with managing directors, leadership team, and department heads to set financial targets.
- Create and maintain business cases to support business decisions, including investment analysis, pricing strategies, and profitability assessments.
- Responsibility for target costing and operational controlling of minimum one area as a business partner to a C-Level.
- Design, implement, prepare, and analyze financial reports, providing key insights into the company's financial performance.
- Monitor financial KPIs and variances, identifying areas of concern or opportunities for improvement.
- Generate timely, accurate, and insightful management reports for senior leadership and department heads.
- Monitor and control operational costs, recommending and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Identify and assess risks related to cost control and financial operations, developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices in financial control and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, standards, and legal requirements.
- Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Coach and develop team members, foster cross-functional team and project contribution.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA, CFA, or CPA is a plus.
- Proven experience in financial controlling, budgeting, and financial analysis, preferably in an advanced manufacturing or R&D industry.
- Minimum of 3 years effective leadership experience and team management abilities, comfortable with change and a passionate team player.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards (esp. IFRS), and financial software tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English, fluent German skills would be a strong plus.
- Great stakeholder management skills and ability to succeed in complex environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
