Job Title: Compliance and Governance Analyst

About the Role

As a Compliance and Governance Analyst at the European Central Bank, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and transparency of our operations. Your responsibilities will include conducting legal and risk assessments, contributing to annual reporting, and preparing replies to enquiries and requests for ethical advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough legal and risk assessments to identify ethics, governance, and transparency-related issues.
  • Contribute to the Division's annual reporting, including data analysis and fact-finding.
  • Prepare replies to enquiries, requests for ethical advice, and document access requests.
  • Establish and maintain database infrastructure templates and manuals.
  • Organize and provide ECB-wide outreach and training sessions to promote integrity and good governance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as ethics, law, public administration, HR, or social sciences.
  • Experience with drafting legal assessments, fact-finding, or monitoring risks in respect of ethics provisions, governance standards, and document access regimes.
  • Proven skills in digital projects and change management.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills.
  • Advanced command of English and intermediate command of at least one other official language of the EU.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Clear understanding of the ECB's mission, tasks, and responsibilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of the ECB's confidentiality, access to documents, and transparency regime.
  • Awareness of recent trends and best practices in ethics, transparency, and governance-related matters.
