Chief Automotive Quality Strategy Leader

Mpowering People is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our customer quality management efforts in Germany.
About the Role:
- We are looking for an experienced Customer Quality SR. Manager/Director with 7-15 years of experience in the automotive sector, preferably with software development project experience for European OEMs.
- The ideal candidate will excel in a dynamic environment, possess strong problem-solving and communication skills, and have a solid understanding of software development practices, quality standards, and frameworks.
Main Responsibilities:
- Customer Quality Management: Act as the main point of contact for all quality-related inquiries from European OEM clients, manage customer expectations proactively, and foster robust relationships with customer quality teams and stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards (AITF 16949, ISO 26262, ASPICE), track key quality metrics, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures to address quality challenges.
- Project Oversight: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, high-quality project deliveries, lead or participate in program reviews and audits with clients, and provide quality insights during software development.
- Team Leadership & Development: Build and lead a customer quality team, mentor and train team members on quality standards, processes, and customer engagement strategies.
- Startup Agility: Adapt to the demands of a startup environment, manage multiple responsibilities efficiently, and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- 7-15 years of experience in automotive quality management, ideally with experience in software development projects for European OEMs.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, successfully balancing customer relations and team development.
- In-depth understanding of automotive software standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262, functional safety regulations).
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, with a history of coaching or scaling quality teams.
Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is €80,000 - €120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
