About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lab / Creative Arts Technician to join our team at St. George's, The British International School. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will play a vital role in supporting our students, teachers, and departments in the delivery of science, art, drama, and music programs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation and delivery of science lessons and clubs, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Assist teachers with practical lessons, providing hands-on support to students and maintaining equipment and resources.
  • Manage stocks of resources, including ordering and maintaining equipment, chemicals, and materials.
  • Design and construct basic equipment, such as storage and lab equipment, and prepare chemicals for use in lessons.
  • Uphold the highest health and safety standards, ensuring the well-being of students and staff.
  • Collaborate with teachers and departments to develop and implement educational programs and activities.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
