About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our finance team in Munich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing a wide variety of accounting transactions, including accounts receivable and accounts payable, payment transactions, customer service, travel expenses, asset and general ledger accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
- Manage payment transactions, customer service, and travel expenses
- Perform asset and general ledger accounting
- Calculate, post, and maintain accruals
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Prepare sales tax returns for Germany and returns according to §50a EStG (German Income Tax Act)
- Process statistical reports for authorities
- Report in accordance with international group guidelines
- Support with monthly and quarterly reporting, forecasts
- Prepare the Group's internal statutory reporting for the annual financial statements
- Act as a sparring partner for controlling
Requirements:
- Completed commercial training or studies or successfully completed further training as a balance sheet accountant, financial accountant
- Strong knowledge of HGB and confidence in closing financial statements
- Extensive knowledge of finance and accounting
- Very good knowledge of the relevant ERP systems, ideally in dealing with Workday / Salesforce
- Enjoys change, new tasks, tools, and workflows in an international working environment
- Hands-on mentality and high customer and service orientation
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills and affinity for numbers
- Command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Independent, goal-oriented work and a high level of commitment and motivation
