IT Security Specialist

Finmas GmbH is a leading digital partner of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, providing innovative solutions for the financial sector. We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Specialist to join our team in Berlin.
Your Role:- Develop and implement technical security standards and identify potential threats for our products and internal applications.
- Collaborate with our teams to design and implement new solutions in the context of artificial intelligence, ensuring compliance with IT security standards.
- Contribute to the planning, execution, and review of cross-functional information security and incident response processes, as well as the development of risk minimization measures.
- Support the prioritization of defensive activities in collaboration with application and infrastructure owners, and define action plans for the most likely attack scenarios.
- Continuously validate and improve our IT security concept.
- Establish, operate, and develop our information security management system (ISMS).
- Network and regularly coordinate with our parent companies and participate in cross-functional audits and initiatives.
- Provide training and awareness programs for our employees on IT security and related measures.
- Completed education with professional experience in this field or a degree in Cyber Security, Data Protection, or IT Security.
- Significant experience in IT security.
- Good knowledge of regulatory requirements in the banking sector (KWG, EBA, MaRisk, BAIT) and ideally in the DORA regulation, NIS2 directive, and IT Security Act.
- Fundamental knowledge of the application, implementation, and audit of security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001).
- Experience in project management.
- Good analytical skills and a systematic approach.
- Self-motivated and independent work style.
- High level of decision-making ability and persuasion.
- Excellent communication skills and a confident demeanor.
- Fluent German language skills in writing and speaking.
