Internal Audit Manager Commercial

At Uniper, we are proactively transforming the world of energy while ensuring security of energy supply. Our Corporate Audit Team in Düsseldorf is looking for a highly skilled professional to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform internal audit services with a focus on energy trading, portfolio optimization, and risk management.
  • Analyze and evaluate organizational structures and processes regarding associated risks and mitigating controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen Uniper's compliance, risk management, and control framework.
  • Develop recommendations for improvements and risk mitigation in close alignment with the business and share strategic insights with senior management.
  • Drive our continuous improvement journey by leveraging data and technology.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification is preferred.
  • Several years of experience in risk management and trading-related roles, ideally within the energy sector. Internal audit experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of energy markets, trading dynamics, and related risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to successfully collaborate with various teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Team player with professional curiosity, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm about new challenges and eagerness to learn and develop.
  • High degree of ownership and drive to carry out tightly structured audits.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, other languages are a plus.
