Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Flavorist to join our R&D team at DöhlerGroup. As a key member of our innovation and customer projects, you will be responsible for developing new flavors and collaborating with our application and development departments to create successful flavor profiles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new flavors as part of innovation and customer projects
  • Collaborate with the application and development departments to develop new successful flavors
  • Optimize and develop flavors using analysis and test results from the Flavour Analytics, Shelf-life Testing, and Sensory & Consumer Science departments
  • Adapt existing flavor recipes to special technological requirements, regional market requirements, or particular customer specifications
  • Coordinate the evaluation of flavor raw materials and flavors
  • Participate in the international R&D Flavours group for the transfer of expertise and expert support of innovation roll-outs
  • Provide expert support for the sales organization and product management

Requirements

  • University degree in chemistry or food technology or equivalent qualifications
  • Trained as a flavorist with at least 10 years of proven successful experience as a flavorist
  • International team player with a global mindset
  • Analytical and results-oriented working style
  • Experience in the development of natural flavors, preferably for beverage applications
  • Excellent sensory and creative skills
  • Fluent in English, German language skills an advantage
  • Competent in using common MS Office programs, preferably good SAP skills
  • Good knowledge of food and flavor law
