Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to support our local and corporate QA teams in all matters QA. As the primary point of contact for QA matters in your designated area, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting local and corporate QA teams in all matters QA, including Supply Chain, Marketplace, Food Service Distribution (FSD) operations, and 1-2 FSD Companies.
  • Providing support with standard implementation (LSP's, FSD's and Platforms), providing technical manuals, educational material, and trainings, and supporting in the development of IT tools that help implement new QA requirements.
  • Maintaining a global system to ensure compliance with global QA standards across METRO/MAKRO countries and external Logistic Service Providers.
  • Conducting warehouse assessments in various countries.
  • Overseeing incident and crisis cases for the FSD companies you advise, providing technical assessments and guidance to enhance QA structures and efficiency.
  • Welcome and onboarding FSD Quality Managers across the METRO/MAKRO Network and ensuring they are provided with everything needed and a touchpoint with our vivid QA community.
  • Using KPI's and reviewing them to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Supporting FSD companies in getting GQA approval for our Own Brand meat production.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Robust expertise and a genuine passion for Quality Assurance (QA) and the world of Food Wholesale.
  • A track-record of a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in QA operations with experience in HACCP and PRP along with a proven track-record in implementing a Quality Management System.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with people from different backgrounds and build rapport for QA topics.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect dots and think critically.
  • A comprehensive understanding of QA requirements in the Multichannel Food World, including supply chains, productions, and Quality and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of QA manuals and standards and the ability to apply them to real-world processes.
  • Technical food knowledge, ideally from a food quality or safety background.
  • Fluent English skills, with other European languages a plus.
